Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking a Senior Scientist in Analytical Sciences & Technology to drive analytical method development, validation, and lifecycle management for the commercial CGT portfolio. You will ensure launch readiness, collaborate across departments, and oversee third‑party testing laboratories to maintain quality and compliance.

The role requires expertise in biologics analytics, GMP guidelines, and strong technical writing.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in analytical method development, characterization, and qualification/validation for biologics.
Knowledge of ICH/USP/EMA guidelines with strong GMP background, CGT related preferred.
Experience managing contract analytical testing (CTO/CDMO).

Responsibilities

Accountable for the success of commercial analytical activities, prioritization, and execution to meet program commitments.
SME for ensuring robustness of analytical methods and commercial testing requirements.
Author and/or review technical documents, including SOPs, study protocols and technical reports.
Partners with internal/external functions for commercial analytical technology transfer.
