Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Denton, TX is seeking an analytical project manager for R&D who will supervise assay design, validation and implementation, and act as technical consultant to maintain testing reliability.

The role coordinates bench-level supervision of projects using HPLC, GC, GC/MS, LC-MS/MS and ICP/MS, trains staff, and writes method documentation; you will drive corrective actions and support ongoing development of the R&D department.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of R&D experience with a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate clinical or applied science field, or 1–2 years with a Master's or 0 years with a PhD with extensive experience in analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and provides bench level supervision of R&D projects using HPLC, GC, GC/MS, LC-MS/MS and ICP/MS.
• Coordinates implementation of new procedures within the department and with other support departments.
• Performs statistical analysis and validation of new methods; writes summaries for method documentation.
• Trains staff in new methods, both in technical and instrumental aspects.
• Manages special projects coordinating resources and personnel.
• Acts as a resource for HPLC, GC, GC/MS and LC-MS/MS questions.
• Writes technical proposals soliciting drug analysis services and contributes to business proposals.
• Maintains testing reliability and diagnoses test failures; implements corrective action.
• Provides technical understanding of analytical techniques with emphasis on instrumental methods.
