Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ seeks a Senior Scientist for the SAS-ACDS organization. This laboratory-based leadership role focuses on analytical deliverables for API/Drug Substance manufacture within a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary team.

You will author procedures, develop and validate methods, support regulatory submissions, and ensure data integrity and cGMP compliance while training staff and collaborating with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• MS in Chemistry or related field with 8+ years pharma development experience.
• PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related field with 2+ years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Author analytical procedures, development and validation protocols and reports.
• Perform investigations with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Support inspections and audits with data integrity knowledge.
• Evaluate analytical methods for critical quality attributes of GMP materials.
• Provide technical training to staff on analytical techniques.
