Job summary

Air Liquide USA LLC in Newark, DE is seeking a Staff Scientist to drive ALD deposition research for semiconductor materials. You will lead autonomous R&D on dielectric, metal, and complex alloy films via ALD and CVD, applying deep hands-on expertise in ALD hardware, precursors, and metrology.

You will collaborate with global teams, mentor junior scientists, shape technology roadmaps, and contribute to IP development while advancing Air Liquide's leadership in electronics and sustainable

Qualifications

PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science with ALD specialization or MS with 7+ years relevant ALD experience.
Hands-on experience with plasma-based and/or thermal ALD tools and troubleshooting/maintenance.
Strong film analytical skills with FTIR, Ellipsometry, XRR, XPS, AES or SEM.

Responsibilities

Lead ALD deposition initiatives and precursor design with hands-on development of dielectric/metal/complex alloy films.
Autonomously manage complex ALD thin-film projects and develop innovative solutions.
Contribute to technical roadmap and identify trends across business lines.
