Meso Scale Diagnostics, based in Gaithersburg, MD, seeks a highly skilled scientist to develop and execute basic and applied research in electrochemistry, polymer chemistry, and related fields. The role involves contributing to new product development by creating methods, reagents, and instrumentation for life science and clinical applications, with potential supervision of others.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Physical Sciences or related field with 2 years independent research experience.
• Master’s degree may be considered with at least 8 years of independent research experience.
• Minimum of four years laboratory experience with hands-on technical abilities.
• Experience in conducting materials, electrochemistry, materials science, interfacial chemistry, inorganic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and/or organometallic chemistry.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to interpret complex data.

Responsabilités

• Design and execute complex experiments for research and development.
• Prepare procedures and maintain notebooks and batch/test records.
• Procure reagents and equipment for experiments.
• Analyze data and present findings; may code in Python, MATLAB, or R.
• Lead technical teams and coordinate work toward project goals.
• Ensure laboratory safety and compliance.
