In vivo Senior Scientist, Oncology Small Molecules

Location: Waltham, MA

This Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist with a proven track record of scientific excellence in in vivo pharmacology to join our Oncology Small Molecules team in Waltham, MA, USA. As a Senior Scientist, you will lead efforts from the bench, delivering in vivo pharmacology data to support our oncology small molecules portfolio, focusing on drugs targeting Breast, Ovarian, Lung, and Colorectal cancers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Utilize in vivo technical skills to support our oncology platform by developing and working with various cancer models, including subcutaneous, orthotopic xenograft, and Patient Derived Xenograft models.
2. Design and execute in vivo pharmacology studies (tolerability, PK/PD, efficacy) and compile comprehensive data packages to support drug discovery programs.
3. Profile tissue samples to explore mechanisms of drug response and resistance using traditional and novel approaches.
4. Collaborate across disciplines to develop and implement work plans and timelines.
5. Work proficiently with various programs and databases to capture and share study data with project teams and stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

• BSc/MS with 5+ years or PhD with 2+ years of experience in biology, pharmacology, or related fields, with at least 2 years of hands-on in vivo experience.
• Practical in vivo experience and skills in the use of mouse models.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams, including DMPK and translational medicine.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and data presentation skills.
• Understanding of statistical methods and data quality control.
• Familiarity with GraphPad Prism, Microsoft Office, and in vivo data systems such as Study Log.

Additional Desired Experience:

• Industry experience leading strategic and technical in vivo drug discovery efforts.
• Experience measuring biomarkers in blood and tissue samples using techniques like IHC, Western blot, ELISA, and MSD platforms.
• Use of small animal imaging modalities such as IVIS for bioluminescence monitoring.
