The Fischer Lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a Structural and Chemical Biology lab that combines molecular biology, computational biology, structural biology, and chemistry with various ‘Omics’ techniques such as proteomics to study pathways and protein complexes involved in the regulation of protein abundance via the ubiquitin proteasome system, often associated with human diseases including cancer. The lab integrates structural biology, molecular biology, and computational approaches to address fundamental questions about signaling mechanisms in the ubiquitin proteasome system.
The Fischer Lab (https://fischerlab.org/) seeks a highly motivated individual to join as a SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST and project manager, leading projects focused on drug discovery. Responsibilities include project management, study coordination, experiment design and execution, and liaising with contract research organizations. A background in biochemistry, chemical biology, and experience in small molecule drug discovery within a matrixed organization is essential.
Our lab is based at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Longwood Center, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. We have state-of-the-art facilities for structural biology (cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, NMR), chemistry, biophysics, cellular imaging, and mass spectrometry (including timsTOF and Orbitrap tribrid). Join our team of scientists, postdocs, and technicians to work on signaling pathways and therapeutic development.
Dana-Farber is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
