A leading company is seeking a highly qualified Senior Scientist in Discovery Oncology. The role involves conducting innovative research in cancer drug discovery, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and designing experiments. We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated scientist with a strong background in cancer drug discovery to join a cross-functional team within Discovery Oncology.
The successful candidate will have a track record of innovative and collaborative research demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications. Primary responsibilities will include designing and executing experiments in the laboratory to support our company's drug discovery programs. The Senior Scientist will operate in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment, and an ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with colleagues from different disciplines will be essential.
In this exciting role, you will:
Conduct Oncology drug discovery research across different therapeutic modalities by performing target validation, OMICS profiling, MOA studies, and assay development
Independently design and conduct experiments, interpret and report high quality data in a clear and concise manner to support cancer drug discovery programs
Collaborate with colleagues in Discovery Oncology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biologics, Data science and other functions
Monitor, review, and critically interpret published work to guide internal research
Position Qualifications :
Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology or related field
Required Experience and Skills:
Extensive wet lab experience in cancer biology
Hands on expertise in molecular and cell biology techniques such as cloning, Western blot, RT-PCR, multi-color flow cytometry, and ELISA
Hands on expertise in multiple methods of genetic perturbation (siRNA, shRNA, CRISPR using lentivirus and RNPs, inducible systems)
Experience with model and assay development
Demonstrated ability to work independently to design and perform key experiments, interpret data, troubleshoot, and suggest next steps
Candidate should be a strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills and with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a team environment
