Job summary

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps, strong Linux, Git, and scripting skills, and experience with vulnerability management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, DevSecOps, software engineering, research computing, or related field.
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for scientific software and data workflows.
• Containerize software using Docker, Apptainer/Singularity, and ensure reproducible build processes.
• Deploy applications in Kubernetes and other computing environments including HPC and cloud.
• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, security, and software teams to integrate workflows with shared infrastructure.
• Automate builds, testing, deployment, dependency management, monitoring, and security tasks.
• Assess vulnerabilities in OS packages, dependencies, and container images; remediate with teams.
• Contribute to shared services like registries, repositories, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Document procedures, software/workflow descriptions, and technical reports.
