Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a dedicated Custodian Level V to manage custodial operations at Discovery Middle School in Minnesota. The role involves leading evening staff, maintaining a clean and safe facility, and coordinating with school administration on events and daily needs.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and within 12 months, boilers and possibly pool licenses, plus a valid driver’s license. Compensation starts at $24.86/hour with full benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with minimal custodial/maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Boilers License to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Pool license may be required within 12 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee custodial operations for the school to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Provide leadership and direction to evening custodial staff; train new staff.
• Maintain HVAC and building systems monitoring, security, lighting, and alarms.
• Schedule repairs and preventive maintenance; assist with event setup and cleanup.
• Coordinate with district facilities and staff on cleaning supply orders and chemical labeling.
