Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Scheduler to join our US Infrastructure team in New York. On-site presence is required 4 days per week; exceptional leadership and scheduling skills will drive project success across major civil infrastructure programs.

Responsibilities include developing baselines, tracking milestones, and coordinating with clients and subcontractors. The role emphasizes proactive planning, strong communication, and coaching the planning team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
  • Graduate degree preferred in construction management or civil engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of scheduling experience on civil infrastructure programs.
  • Experience in complex multi-stakeholder environments requiring proactive coordination.
  • Practical experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an integrated planning, cost and risk environment to optimize resources and complete scopes within budget and time.
  • Ensure established planning and scheduling methodologies are followed in developing the project schedule.
  • Develop project milestones and progress baselines.
  • Assess subcontractor compliance with scheduling methodologies.
  • Contribute to the Work Breakdown Structure to support performance measurement.
  • Analyze schedule data to identify trends and issues and communicate to leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients on the project schedule.
  • Coach and mentor the planning team.
  • Lead schedule reporting, forecasts and contingency management for work packages.
  • Lead schedule updates, analyses and timely reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with contractor schedules within integrated milestones.
  • Analyze resource requirements and availability impacts and recommend recoveries.
  • SOX control responsibilities may apply where relevant.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for a SeniorScheduler to join our US Infrastructure team. This individual will have strong leadership skills and proven track record of successfully manage scheduling on prior projects or programs.

On-site presence is required 4 days out of the work week. Requirements may change depending on our client's needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in an integrated planning,costand risk environment within the project tooptimizethe use of available resources to complete work plan scopes within budget and time constraints.
  • Ensure that the established planning and schedulingmethodologyis followed in developing the project schedule.

  • Perform analysis of schedule data;identifytrends, issues, and areas requiring attention andcommunicationto the Project Director and Team.
  • Communicate and collaborate with both internal and external clients on the project schedule.
  • Contribute to the coaching and mentoring of the planningteam
  • Lead schedule reporting, including schedule forecast updates and schedule contingency management for specific work packages.
  • Lead schedule updates,analysis,and reportsin a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliancewithcontractorschedules with the integrated schedules/milestones.
  • Analyze resourcerequirementsand availabilityimpactson the schedule and recommend recovery options.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying,engineeringor field related to construction.
  • Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant civil infrastructure (Aviation, Rail, Transportation, Bridges/Roads/Highways, Tunnels, Utilities)construction experience working in a scheduling role supporting major programs.
  • Experienceworking in complex, fast paced, multi-stakeholder environments which require proactive coordination to ensure project/programsuccess.
  • Practical exposure to network planning structures and techniques, experienced user of Primavera Project Planner 6.0 or above, and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability toassistwith wider business initiatives asneeded,including responding to RFPs.
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written,organizational,and communication skills.
Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $140K - $170K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
