Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is seeking a Patching / SCCM Administrator to provide Tier III IT operations support for the Office of Information Management and mission systems. The role focuses on endpoint management, patching, and compliance, operating SCCM and Intune in hybrid environments.

You will automate tasks with PowerShell and ensure secure baselines and timely updates across Windows endpoints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT.
• 7-10 years of IT/systems administration experience.
• PowerShell scripting and SCCM administration proficiency.
• Experience with patching and compliance.
• Experience with hybrid endpoint management (SCCM + Intune).
• Knowledge of DOE directives and secure baselines preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and deploy Windows OS and application patches across servers and endpoints per policy.
• Validate patch compliance against secure baselines and directives.
• Perform pre- and post-patch testing and document results.
• Maintain patch deployment records and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Administer and maintain SCCM: collections, deployments, task sequences, reporting.
• Support Microsoft Intune for mobile device and endpoint management.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline patching tasks.
• Manage software distribution, OS imaging, and application packaging.
• Monitor SCCM infrastructure health and SQL databases.
• Monitor patch compliance, endpoint health, and SCCM performance.
• Generate and deliver compliance reports to leadership.
• Report on capacity, resource consumption, and licensing compliance.
• Detect and resolve patching failures and outages per SLAs.
• Maintain patching SOPs and SCCM configurations.
