A leading tech company in San Mateo is seeking a skilled software engineer to own components of its platform. Responsibilities include side-by-side collaboration with engineers on architecture and integration, designing and developing essential system areas like security and data management. The ideal candidate has expert-level programming skills in JVM languages like Java and Scala, and experience in healthcare domain, SQL, noSQL DB systems, and Big Data technologies. This role offers a competitive salary up to $170,000 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Expert-level programming skills in JVM languages: Java / Scala.
• Proficient in Software Development Best Practices (SCM / Unit Tests).
• Experience deploying customer-facing software into a Production Environment.
• Demonstrated ownership of large projects or feature sets.
• Good healthcare domain expertise.
• Experience with both SQL and noSQL DB systems.
• Experience in Data Science Algorithms.
• Experience with Data manipulation and scripting with Python.
• Knowledge of Big Data Technologies such as Cassandra, Hadoop, and Elastic Search.
