Job summary

The City of Glendale seeks a Senior SCADA System Administrator to provide advanced support for the Water Services SCADA systems. You will help plan, purchase, install, update, and support the SCADA infrastructure while ensuring security and reliability.

The role includes managing Active Directory, DNS, backups, and VMware storage, with opportunities to lead projects and mentor staff. A generous benefits package and a $5,000 hiring bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering and four years of SCADA support experience.
• One year in a lead or supervisory role is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education/training/experience may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT staff to plan and deliver SCADA solutions.
• Develop and implement SCADA security controls.
• Plan and manage SCADA project schedules and upgrades.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS and replication.
• Provide system administration for SCADA servers, storage, and backups.
• Evaluate and upgrade IT systems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain backup strategies for compliance data and recovery.
• Standardize SCADA procedures and naming conventions.
• Document changes via change control processes.
• Manage user identities and access controls.
• Ensure SCADA security to protect infrastructure.
• Provide on-call support and VMware/storage oversight.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
