Job summary

A leading energy company in Austin is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to provide technical leadership and support SCADA systems across utility-scale Battery Energy Storage sites. The role involves troubleshooting, incident management, and improving fleet reliability. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and over 5 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SCADA, controls, or OT operations, preferably in power generation, renewables, or BESS.
• Experience with BESS controllers, inverters, BMS, and plant controllers.

Responsibilities

• Support SCADA and controls incidents impacting BESS site availability.
• Lead real-time troubleshooting of SCADA servers, gateways, and alarms.
• Own incident coordination with internal operations and external integrators.
• Ensure reliable telemetry for utility and ISO operations.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and KPIs.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed OT systems and industrial networks

Experience in SCADA, controls, or OT operations

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
