Job summary

SOLV Energy is looking for a Senior SCADA Engineer to oversee SCADA engineering for utility-scale renewable energy projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular office presence in Bend, OR.

The position requires a strong technical background in SCADA systems and programming, coupled with effective communication skills. Benefits include health insurance and a competitive salary range from $125,114 to $166,402 annually.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Direct experience in SCADA engineering is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead SCADA engineering workstreams for utility-scale projects.
• Define and implement SCADA design standards.
• Provide technical support for SCADA systems.
• Mentor junior engineers on technical standards.

Skills

Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy engineering

6-8 years of engineering experience

Advanced working knowledge of programming languages (C, C++, Java, Python)

Experience with SCADA engineering

Knowledge of Inductive Automation’s Ignition SCADA platform

Knowledge of Windows servers and relational databases

Knowledge of PLC equipment

Knowledge of tuning PID loops

Knowledge of SCADA networks design and installation

Knowledge of industrial automation protocols

Advanced skills in diagram and schematic development

Ability to work with sub-contractors

Proficiency with project management tools

Excellent communication skills

Education
