Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking a Senior SCADA/I&C Professional Engineer to lead SCADA and I&C efforts for our Water Team. The ideal candidate is a licensed PE with a bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering and 15+ years of experience in water and wastewater projects.

The role emphasizes design, startup, and commissioning of SCADA/PLC systems, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple municipal projects.

Qualifications

• PE license required.
• NCEES eligible preferred.
• 15+ years of related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Wade Trim's SCADA and I&C work across the discipline.
• Support the design, development, installation, and startup of SCADA & PLC-based automation and control systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Extensive experience designing and supporting SCADA systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with municipal water/wastewater clients.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and utility stakeholders.
• Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, field changes, and startup.
• Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and ISA-101 standards.
• Develop SCADA, PLC, and HMI standards for water/wastewater clients.
