Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to join its Mission Critical team. You will design, develop, and deploy SCADA solutions for data centers and critical infrastructure, focusing on Ignition Perspective and modern architectures.

You will work directly with customers, lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and travel up to 50% to support deployments and commissioning across the U.S., delivering reliable, scalable control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of SCADA engineering in systems integrator/industrial automation.
• Hands-on Ignition with Perspective experience.
• Designing and deploying enterprise-scale SCADA systems.
• Familiar with OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, DNP3, MQTT, BACnet, Ethernet/IP.
• Experience integrating PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider).
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement SCADA solutions for mission critical projects.
• Configure Ignition applications, including Perspective and modules.
• Develop architectures, HMIs, alarming, historians, and reporting.
• Integrate PLCs, RTUs, power monitoring, and third-party devices.
• Support requirements, design, programming, testing, commissioning, startup.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and guide the project.
• Create and maintain design specs and test procedures.
• Troubleshoot SCADA issues remotely and onsite.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
