Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a SCADA Specialist to perform real time SCADA system support and administration for a Pipeline SCADA system. This role interfaces with Pipeline Control to ensure safe and secure operation of pipelines via SCADA HMI systems.

You will work with Field Personnel to integrate RTUs and PLCs necessary for real time data. The job requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent, plus 2-5 years of SCADA experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent; experience considered in lieu of degree.
• 2-5 years of experience with SCADA systems.
• CygNet SCADA experience is a plus; other automation/SCADA experience considered.
• Gas or liquids pipeline experience with measurement technologies and process control automation is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills with ability to multi-task.
• Experience with Windows OS and server administration.

Responsibilities

• System configuration and administration for SCADA systems.
• Databases and graphical displays for Control Center operations.
• System interfaces, data processes, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Field Personnel on SCADA integration with RTUs/PLCs.
• Participate in lineouts testing to meet regulatory requirements.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot data polling to remote PLCs/RTUs.
• Ensure SCADA availability for pipeline operation and safety.
• Provide 24x7 support on a rotational basis.
• Document changes and obtain approvals as required.
