Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a SCADA Specialist to support and maintain real-time SCADA systems across North America for products and natural gas pipelines. You will work with IT and operations to design, configure, and develop SCADA applications, graphics, and reports while following KM standards.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or CS, 3+ years in SCADA/automation, and strong scripting (PowerShell, JavaScript, Python). Hybrid work and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Computer Science; relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with SCADA, automation or real-time systems support.
• Experience in GeoSCADA or Ignition.
• Basic programming skills.
• Familiarity with IT, SCADA and/or telecommunications architecture standards.
• Ability to apply object-oriented methodologies in application development.
• SQL database and stored procedures experience.
• Advanced MS Office (Excel and Word).
• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, JavaScript, and/or Python; familiarity with the .NET library.

Responsibilities

• Provide SCADA system administration and management functions as part of a team.
• Ensure KM SCADA system procedures and standards are met.
• Analyze, design and implement SCADA-related applications, HMIs, and reports following standards.
• Collaborate with business groups or IT staff to develop data interfaces between business and SCADA apps.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Control Center, and Operations to meet customer requirements.
• Provide hardware and software support for SCADA systems in coordination with IT personnel.
• Review system maintenance with IT Infrastructure and diagnose problems.
