Job summary

Consumers Energy in Michigan seeks a Senior SCADA Engineer to design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems for the electric grid, including transmission, high-voltage, and distribution networks. You will ensure real-time operation, reliability, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

The role requires expertise in SCADA architecture, cybersecurity (CIP, SOC), and integration with IT/OT environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or CS with 4+ years in SCADA system design and maintenance, including cyber compliance.
• Associate degree with 6+ years in SCADA system design and cyber compliance.
• High School diploma with 8+ years in SCADA system design and cyber compliance.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior and mid-level SCADA engineers in best practices.
• Lead FAT and SAT, commissioning and deployment of SCADA systems.
• Drive process automation and optimization in SCADA operations.
• Provide 24x7x365 rotating on-call support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align SCADA solutions with business requirements.
• Ensure CIP and SOC regulatory compliance.
