Job summary

Invenergy is North America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of power infrastructure. This Principal Engineer role focuses on SCADA systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and related green energy projects in the United States.

You will define data interfaces, lead cross-functional teams, and mentor engineers while ensuring compliance with NERC and grid reliability standards. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years in power generation SCADA and plant control systems.
• Proven experience delivering BESS-focused SCADA and controls integration through commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Own SCADA and controls integration approach for BESS projects from concept through commissioning.
• Define control and data interfaces between BESS subsystems and site SCADA and related systems.
• Lead technical reviews of vendor submittals including communications architecture and cybersecurity alignment.
• Provide escalation troubleshooting for complex integration issues during construction and commissioning.
