Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (Qcells USA) is seeking a Principal SCADA Engineer to shape the SCADA framework and lead projects across automation and cybersecurity. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical, Software, or Systems Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in SCADA, cybersecurity, and automation engineering
• Expert in programming relays and control devices
• SCADA systems and protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850)
• IT networks and cybersecurity principles
• Electrical generation and control systems for utility-scale solar or BESS projects
• Advanced SCADA or cybersecurity certifications required

Responsibilities

• Lead SCADA system architecture development for standardization and scalability
• Establish cybersecurity frameworks for SCADA and IT networks, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Develop next-generation SCADA strategies with AI analytics, predictive maintenance, and remote monitoring
• Oversee SCADA network security, cloud integration, and IT/OT convergence
• Drive engagement with utilities, ISOs, EPC contractors, and technology providers
• Mentor and develop junior SCADA engineers
• Stay at the forefront of SCADA cybersecurity advancements and related technologies
• Attend regularly per attendance policy and perform other duties as assigned
