Job summary

Hëda is seeking a Senior SBA 7(a) Underwriter to analyze, structure, and decision complex SBA credit requests in a hybrid work environment. You will collaborate with BDOs, Credit Committee, and closers, handling multi-million-dollar files with rigorous credit analysis and compliant structuring.

Responsibilities include credit evaluation, eligibility assessments, CAM generation, and close coordination to ensure timely funding while maintaining portfolio quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of dedicated commercial credit underwriting experience.
• 2–3 years focused on SBA 7(a) loans at an SBLC, bank, or preferred SBA lender (PLP).
• Strong SBA SOP 50 10 knowledge and lending compliance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate tax returns and financial statements to assess cash flow and DSCR.
• Structure viable multi-tiered 7(a) debt facilities in line with SBA guidelines.
• Draft CAMs detailing risks, mitigants, and industry benchmarking.
• Present complex packages to Credit Officers and the Credit Committee.
