Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA seeks a Satellite Technology Integration Engineer (Senior Project Engineer – Multi-Disciplinary) to lead next‑gen space vehicle hardware concepts and integration across space and ground systems. This is a full‑time, onsite role in El Segundo.

Requirements: STEM degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), ~10 years of engineering experience, strong leadership and communication, and ability to travel domestically up to 1 week per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics or related field.
• Typically, ten (10) years of professional engineering experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Interdisciplinary experience across multiple space vehicle hardware disciplines: development, analysis, integration, test, and/or on-orbit operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, independently manage studies or projects, and coordinate technical activities of multiple contributors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to travel domestically up to 1 week per month.

Responsibilities

• Working shoulder-to-shoulder with Government & SETA counterparts to coordinate and support satellite technology integration engineering activities.
• Developing and analyzing novel space vehicle hardware concepts and assessing their impact on mission success and technology maturation plans.
• Supporting cross-segment integration and testing for space and ground elements.
• Researching and guiding development and maturation of technologies for next generation resilient space and ground systems.
• Identifying and pursuing opportunities for Aerospace prototyping and technology risk reduction.
• Building and leading Aerospace Matrix Engineer teams of subject matter experts to guide new developments.
