Job summary

ICEYE is seeking a Software AIT Engineer to bridge software development and hardware integration for satellite programs in Valencia. You will lead V&V campaigns, integrate flight software with avionics and subsystems, and build automated test frameworks to ensure mission readiness.

You will act as the primary software integration contact, drive improvements in AIT methods, and support design reviews and configuration management to maintain ICEYE’s standards across missions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in integration, testing, or production of complex systems—preferably aerospace or high‑reliability hardware.
• Strong Python scripting and automation for test development and data analysis.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering with focus on system‑level validation.
• Deep knowledge of satellite architectures including C&D, avionics, or comms subsystems.
• Familiarity with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) testing and environmental testing (EMC, vibration, thermal).
• Proven ability to manage configuration and ensure software/hardware compatibility across programs.
• Fluent written and spoken English for cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Execute satellite‑level V&V campaigns focusing on functional software operations and system health.
• Lead integration of flight software with satellite subsystems (avionics, power, RF, thermal).
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency, repeatability, and coverage.
• Serve as primary technical contact for software integration issues; perform root cause analysis with software engineering.
• Support production readiness and design reviews (PRR, CDR) with feedback on testability and HIL requirements.
• Contribute to AIT documentation including test procedures, integration plans, and configuration records.
• Coordinate with Global AIT, Software Engineering, and Mission Operations to align on standards and lessons learned.
• Drive continuous improvement in integration methods, test efficiency, and build reliability.
