Job summary

Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) seeks a seasoned Lead Satellite SETA in Chantilly, VA to serve as the primary technical and programmatic advisor to the Division Chief.

You will lead a multidisciplinary SETA team responsible for satellite units, subsystems, and end-to-end space system architectures to deliver critical national security space capabilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field; 20+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 15+ years (substitution allowed)
• Strong satellite systems engineering background with buses, payloads, subsystems, and end-to-end architectures
• Experience supporting DoD/Intelligence Community/NASA acquisition programs and milestone reviews, including PDR/CDR and integration tests

Responsibilities

• Advise the Division Chief on satellite architecture, design trades, development strategies, risk posture, and acquisition decisions
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary SETA team, manage workload and staff development
• Coordinate cross-domain integration across space vehicles, payload, ground, AI&T, and SE divisions to ensure mission success
• Evaluate prime contractor performance at milestones, assess technical requirements, deliverables, schedule and cost
• Identify program risks and opportunities; drive mitigation strategies and action analyses for leadership decisions
• Plan and facilitate Division meetings and technical forums with government and contractor stakeholders
