Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks a Satellite Electrical Power Systems (EPS) Engineer to design, develop, and test advanced EPS for satellite platforms. You will work with a team of expert engineers to advance space systems and related technologies, reporting to the Space Electrical Design Team Manager.

The role emphasizes leadership in engineering solutions, execution of test plans, and clear technical communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Satellite EPS architecture; solar array and battery optimization.
• Embedded processing and hardware design for power electronics & circuits.
• Ability to learn concepts quickly and manage workloads to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex EPS for satellite missions, including power generation, storage, and regulation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet mission requirements and cost constraints.
• Perform power system analyses, fault analysis, and power quality assessments.
• Develop test plans and procedures; execute tests in lab and flight environments.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in design reviews.
