Acara Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Design Engineer to support satellite ground systems and mission-critical network infrastructure programs. You will analyze requirements, design, implement, verify, and troubleshoot enterprise networks in complex environments.

The role involves configuring routers/switches/firewalls, documenting architectures, traveling up to 50% to US and international sites, and ensuring security hardening.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a Bachelor's degree or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.
• 5+ years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
• 5+ years routing, switching, firewall tech, and TCP/IP architectures.
• 3+ years supporting secure enterprise environments on Linux/Windows Server.
• 3+ years troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• 3+ years creating network diagrams, implementation plans, and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure for satellite ground systems.
• Perform requirements analysis, architecture development, validation, and optimization.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, servers, storage, and security tech.
• Analyze topology, traffic, bandwidth, and capacity needs; support secure networks.
• Document network and operational procedures; install equipment in data centers; travel as needed.
