General Atomics is seeking a Senior Satellite Manufacturing Engineer for the EMS Space Systems Manufacturing group in Centennial, CO. This role supports and executes manufacturing through AIT of spacecraft components from parts to EVT and delivery, coordinating with design and other engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field required; nine+ years in manufacturing engineering preferred.
• Proven experience in satellite AIT, manufacturing engineering, or similar roles within aerospace with strong knowledge of satellite components, systems integration, and testing procedures.
• Demonstrates extensive technical expertise in manufacturing engineering principles and project leadership.
• Ability to quickly understand new concepts and apply them in evolving environments.
• Customer-focused, with the ability to plan and resolve complex manufacturing problems.
• Knowledge of environmental test equipment (TVAC, vibration, MOI, EMI, shock) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, fabrication, and procurement of satellite components and long-lead items per BOM and testing requirements.
• Collaborate with design engineering to improve manufacturability and approve part/assembly release to production.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and systems teams to align manufacturing with design requirements.
• Support AIT plan execution to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals.
• Assist in assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft payloads, propulsion, and subsystems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly and test issues; drive root-cause determination and corrective action.
• Prepare documentation and status reports; contribute to release of new products.
