Job summary

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions in Colorado Springs, CO seeks a Systems Engineer to support a DoD customer, overseeing SATCOM and RF ground segment development. This hands-on role requires travel and strong system engineering process knowledge.

Responsibilities include leading requirements analysis, system verification, and documentation while coordinating with multiple engineering groups to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (EE, ME, AE, CS) or applied sciences (Mathematics, Physics).
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in space SATCOM/RF or satellite ground systems.
• Experience decomposing Govt requirements into system, subsystem, components.
• Ability to brief complex engineering concepts to technical and non‑technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of SATCOM and RF Ground Segment projects and integration of networks.
• Lead hardware/software requirements analysis.
• Oversee verification of system requirements and documentation of results.
• Coordinate with system engineering leads and technical staff.
