Job summary

Kratos Defense seeks a System Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO (or remote) to support engineering activities and meet contractual requirements. The role involves requirements modeling, system design documentation, and collaboration with developers, test teams, and on-site support personnel.

Desired candidates have 5+ years in engineering, a BS in an engineering field, and experience in the Defense/Aerospace sector with space systems. A Secret clearance is preferred. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• BS in SE/CS/EE/ME or equivalent.
• Experience with defense/aerospace space systems.
• Ability to obtain/hold a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the System Engineering team to ensure contractual requirements and deliverables are met on schedule.
• Collaborate with system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to implement system updates and resolve issues.
• Perform requirements analysis and support system design and architecture.
• Support program Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
• Participate in CDRL/SDRL generation and deliveries per schedule.
• Provide technical advice to customers on architectures and potential solutions.
• Develop and deliver customer presentations for design reviews, status updates, and test plans.
• Attend and actively support technical engineering team meetings.
• Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings.
