Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a SATCOM Payload Engineer to act as a technical advisor for RF payloads within the ESS program, interfacing with Space Force leadership and government customers at Los Angeles AFB. You will guide design, risk assessments, and integration across multiple contractors.

This on-site role requires strong RF payload expertise, solid systems engineering background, and clear communication skills to support program execution and mission assurance.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering or related STEM field.
• 8+ years of escalating responsibilities in professional engineering/scientific roles on government programs.
• Experience with satellite communication hardware and/or digital/analog waveform processing.
• Ability to present to customers and leadership; writing sample and presentations required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advisory on RF payload architecture and performance to government customers and Aerospace leadership.
• Maintain effective relationships with customer leadership and contractors across teams.
• Manage resources and prioritize tasks for ETG SMEs.
• Deliver technical position papers, design assessments, and briefings on technical, cost, and schedule risk.
