Zusammenfassung

The Aerospace Corporation invites you to join the ESS program as a SATCOM Payload Engineer. You will act as a technical advisor focusing on RF payload subsystems, interfacing with Space Force leadership and Aerospace teams to ensure alignment of acquisition strategies with mission requirements.

We seek an experienced RF engineering professional with a robust background in satellite communications hardware and systems engineering.

Qualifikationen

• B.S. in Engineering or related STEM field.
• 8+ years of escalating responsibilities in professional engineering/scientific roles across government programs.
• Demonstrated space systems engineering skills and ability to explain issues within the broader program.
• Experience with satellite communication hardware and/or waveform processing.
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams including government and contractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; writing sample and presentation required.
• Willingness to travel to contractor and vendor facilities.
• Active Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required to obtain clearance.

Aufgaben

• Provide insight to Aerospace leadership and the customer on prime contractor execution status, risks, issues, and opportunities for the RF payload.
• Maintain effective working relationships with customer leadership, contractors, ETG and other supporting contractors.
• Manage allocated resources to prioritize tasking for ETG subject matter experts.
• Deliver technical position papers, design assessments, and briefings on technical, cost, and schedule risk to the program related to payload design and implementation.
• Advise Space Force customer on RF payload architecture and performance.
• Coordinate technical teams and act as spokesperson for working groups to management and customers.
• Monitor contractor performance and delivery across space, ground, and crypto contracts related to ESS payload design.
• Apply systems engineering principles in support of program execution.
