Job summary

TPAPT in Westport, CT is seeking a Senior Instructor to lead ACT/SAT test-prep and mentor junior educators. You will conduct one-on-one coaching, collaborate with leadership, and help shape curriculum while maintaining student confidentiality and high instructional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7+ years of experience instructing students in ACT and/or SAT exam preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to become proficient in new instructional models and apply them effectively.
• Experience working with students who have diagnosed learning differences and accommodations on standardized testing.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and attention to detail.
• Expert capabilities with Excel and GSuite.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Interest in contributing to departmental initiatives beyond direct instruction.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Meet one-on-one with a cohort of students to teach test prep skills.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with students and families.
• Collaborate with Test Prep Leadership to create and execute plans for each student.
• Interact with instructors from Educational Therapy, Academic Instruction, and College Advising.
• Attend Test Prep related meetings and development opportunities.
• Support students in applying for testing accommodations, when relevant.
