North Point Technology seeks a Senior SAP SD Functional Lead to support a global automotive and industrial client. You will own SD/OTC design, configuration, and go-live activities across the order-to-cash lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of SAP SD/OTC experience, proven leadership of full S/4HANA implementations, and a collaborative approach with business stakeholders. The role is onsite/hybrid in Novi, Michigan, with contract-to-hire terms.

Responsabilidades

• Document AS-IS and TO-BE processes, identify gaps, and propose standard SAP solutions.
• Define integration requirements across SD, FI, MM, PP and external apps.
• Write functional specs for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms; collaborate with ABAP, integration, and Fiori teams.
• Support manufacturing EDI/IDoc interfaces (ORDERS, ORDRSP, DESADV, INVOIC).
• Lead SD functional testing and support SIT, UAT, and defect resolution.
• Assist cutover planning, go-live readiness, and post-go-live support.
• Troubleshoot OTC issues and address root causes.

North Point Technology is hiring a Senior SAP SD Functional Lead to support a global automotive and industrial manufacturing client.

We're looking for a hands-on SAP SD professional who has personally led Order-to-Cash implementations or rollouts, worked directly with business stakeholders, and owned functional solution design from requirements through go-live.

You must be comfortable independently leading business discussions, identifying the information needed to define a solution, and translating operational requirements into practical SAP processes and configuration.

This position is intended to transition to direct employment with the client following an initial contract period.

What You'll Do

• Lead the SAP SD/OTC functional workstream across requirements gathering, process design, configuration, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
• Independently facilitate business discovery and fit-to-standard workshops with sales, customer service, logistics, finance, and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Ask targeted questions to understand current processes, business requirements, exceptions, pain points, and integration dependencies.
• Document AS-IS and TO-BE processes, identify gaps, and recommend solutions aligned with standard S/4HANA functionality and clean-core principles.
• Own functional design decisions, explain options and tradeoffs, and secure alignment with business stakeholders.
• Configure end-to-end SD processes, including sales orders, pricing and condition technique, delivery, billing, returns, intercompany, third-party, and consignment.
• Define integration requirements across SD, FI, MM, PP, and external applications.
• Write functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms; partner with ABAP, integration, and Fiori teams through delivery.
• Support manufacturing EDI/IDoc interfaces, including ORDERS, ORDRSP, DESADV, and INVOIC.
• Lead SD functional testing and support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and business acceptance.
• Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, user knowledge transfer, and post-go-live issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot complex OTC issues and address underlying process or configuration problems.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP SD/OTC functional consulting experience.
• Experience personally leading the SD/OTC workstream through at least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation or rollout, including requirements, solution design, configuration, testing, and go-live.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead business workshops and turn requirements into detailed functional solutions.
• Strong hands-on configuration experience across sales order management, pricing, delivery, billing, and output determination.
• Ability to explain specific solution decisions you owned, the business requirements behind them, and the resulting outcomes.
• Strong understanding of SD integration with FI, MM, and PP.
• Experience with EDI/IDoc integrations in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience writing functional specifications and guiding technical teams through development and testing.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain SAP processes and recommendations to business users and technical teams.
• Willingness to work onsite/hybrid in Novi, Michigan, and transition to direct client employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive or industrial manufacturing implementation experience.
• Experience leading multiple SAP implementations or global plant rollouts.
• Experience with aATP, product allocation, and backorder processing.
• Familiarity with API-based integrations and Fiori applications.
• SAP S/4HANA Sales certification.
