Job summary

Ecovyst Ecoservices in Hammond, IN is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to oversee the SAP PM-based maintenance lifecycle, coordinating planning, scheduling, and execution with Operations, Engineering, and contractors to improve reliability and plant performance.

The role emphasizes backlog management, material procurement, outage planning, and strong maintenance planning practices to support safe, efficient plant operations. Proficiency in SAP PM and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree/cert preferred.
• 15+ years in maintenance planning, execution, or coordination in chemical manufacturing, refinery, or similar.
• Proficiency with SAP PM including work order lifecycle, PM scheduling, material reservations, requisitions, and cost tracking.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete maintenance work order lifecycle in SAP from notification to closure.
• Prioritize and maintain mechanical and electrical/instrumentation backlog based on safety, reliability, and production impact.
• Develop detailed maintenance job plans with labor, materials, tools, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance scheduling with Operations to ensure equipment availability.
• Procure parts, materials, rentals, and services for planned activities.
• Lead planning for outages/turnarounds with work package development and contractor coordination.
• Ensure PM compliance and timely completion of regulatory requirements.
• Maintain SAP PM data integrity and generate backlog/cost reports.
