Job summary

EY is recruiting an SAP IS-U Reporting & Analytics Senior Consultant to translate utility business questions into precise reports and analytics. You will own requirements, report definitions, data validation, and testing, partnering with data and technical teams to deliver trusted information.

You will collaborate with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud, supporting operational extracts and dashboards across SAP IS-U and connected systems. Travel 40-60% is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
4–6 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience.
Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
Experience supporting reporting requirements, report definitions, functional specifications, testing, reconciliation, and stakeholder review for SAP IS-U or connected utility systems.
Understanding of meter-to-cash processes and dependencies among SAP IS-U functions, analytics platforms, source systems, and downstream applications.
Experience preparing functional documentation and working with business users, data teams, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
Ability to translate business questions into precise measures, report specifications, testable logic, and user-focused outputs.
Working knowledge of SAP IS-U data and a relevant analytics environment such as SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Datasphere, or SAP Analytics Cloud.

Responsibilities

Elicit and document reporting requirements for utility operations, customer service, billing, FI-CA, Retail Choice, device and work management, regulatory needs, and management oversight.
Translate business measures into report specifications, definitions, filters, drill-downs, output formats, reconciliation rules, and acceptance criteria.
Analyze SAP IS-U source data and process dependencies to ensure report logic aligns with definitions and end-to-end processes.
Partner with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, ABAP, and other teams to design and implement reports and analytics.
Support delivery of operational extracts, queries, dashboards, exception reports, and management information across SAP IS-U and connected systems.
Create test cases and expected results; validate totals, samples, access controls, and reconciliation with source transactions.
Investigate reporting discrepancies, data-quality issues, and cross-system dependencies with owners.
Maintain report documentation, lineage notes, user guidance, and support materials; assist with UAT, deployment readiness, and production support.
Manage deliverables, dependencies, risks, and priorities; communicate status to client and project stakeholders.
Provide knowledge transfer and functional guidance to client teams and junior members.
