Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Data Conversion Senior Consultant to lead data migration activities for SAP IS-U implementations. You will analyze legacy data, define mappings, and support migration from source systems into SAP IS-U, owning data objects from analysis to post-load validation.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams, perform data profiling, and coordinate ETL activities using Migration Workbench/EMIGALL. Travel may be required to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Typically 3–4 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including data conversion.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping, data profiling, transformation rules, validation, mock loads, reconciliation, and data-defect resolution.
• Experience supporting conversion of SAP IS-U master and transactional data (business partners, contract accounts, contracts, premises, devices, meter readings, billing history, FI-CA balances).
• Understanding dependencies among SAP IS-U data and related utility systems.
• Willingness to travel (40–60%).

Responsibilities

• Analyzing legacy data structures, source extracts, business rules, and target SAP IS-U requirements for assigned data objects.
• Defining and maintaining source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, value translations, validation rules, and load dependencies.
• Supporting conversion of utility data including business partners, contract accounts, contracts, premises, and FI-CA balances.
• Performing data profiling and supporting data cleansing, mock conversions, data loads, validation, and reconciliation.
• Using SAP IS-U Migration Workbench/EMIGALL or other tools and coordinating ETL activities with technical data teams.
• Analyzing load errors and driving defect resolution.
• Developing object-level counts, control totals, and validation evidence for sign-off.
• Supporting multiple conversion cycles and mock loads for validation.
• Coordinating data dependencies across SAP IS-U modules (Customer Service, Device Management, Meter Reading, Billing/Invoices, FI-CA).
• Preparing functional conversion documentation, mappings, validation rules, test scenarios, and reconciliation results.
• Supporting cutover rehearsals, production conversion, and post-load validation.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve conversion issues and support decisions.
• Providing knowledge transfer to client teams.
