Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Data Conversion Senior Consultant to support data migration activities for SAP IS-U implementations. You will analyze legacy data, define conversion requirements, and lead data migration from source systems into SAP IS-U, owning assigned data objects from analysis through mock conversions and post-load validation.

You will work with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure data is transformed, migrated, validated, and reconciled across the implementation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Typically 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping, data profiling, transformation rules, value translations, validation rules, mock loads, reconciliation, and data-defect resolution.
• Experience supporting the conversion of SAP IS-U master and transactional data (business partners, contract accounts, contracts, premises, devices, meter readings, billing history, FI-CA balances).
• Understanding dependencies among SAP IS-U data and related systems.
• Willingness to travel 40–60%.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy data structures and define source-to-target mappings for SAP IS-U data objects.
• Define and maintain transformation rules, value translations, validation rules, and load dependencies.
• Support conversion of utility data including partners, accounts, contracts, premises, devices, meter readings, and billing history.
• Perform data profiling, mock conversions, data loads, validation, and reconciliation using migration tools.
• Coordinate staging and ETL activities with technical data teams and ensure data quality.
• Identify and resolve load errors, rejected records, and data integrity issues.
• Prepare documentation, test scenarios, reconciliation results, and defect reports.
• Support cutover rehearsals, production loads, and post-load validation.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve conversion issues.
