Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to lead design, configuration, testing, and implementation of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utility clients in the United States.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate billing requirements into functional designs that ensure accurate, timely, and explainable customer bills across the meter-to-cash lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Typically, 3–4 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience with at least 3 years hands-on SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing.
• Experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, billing orders, invoicing and billing-cycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing billing requirements across electric, gas, and/or water utilities.
• Configuring SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions, including master data, rate structures, and billing controls.
• Configuring and supporting billing processes, rebates, and bill simulation.
• Validating invoicing, billing document creation, payment handoffs, and downstream postings with FI-CA.
• Analyzing billing exceptions and identifying root causes involving meter reads, rates, and customer data.
• Preparing functional designs, configuration docs, test scenarios, and process flows.
• Executing unit and integration testing and supporting UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Coordinating cross-workstream impacts with Device Management, EDM, FI-CA, Customer Service, and more.
