Job summary

Accenture is seeking an SAP Basis Manager to lead Basis workstreams on SAP transformation projects, including S/4HANA Greenfield and Brownfield efforts, BTP extensions, and AMS engagements.

You will architect HANA environments on Azure or equivalent hyperscalers, drive high availability and disaster recovery, and govern transports and releases. You will mentor a Basis team, engage client technical leads, and coordinate with AMS delivery, travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in SAP Basis with lead roles on S/4HANA implementations or Brownfield conversions.
• ≥3 years experience in SAP HANA database administration on cloud infrastructure—memory, HSR, backup, performance tuning.
• ≥2 years experience designing/executing SAP HA/DR solutions in Azure or similar hyperscaler env.
• ≥2 years experience managing transport landscapes and release governance across multi-system projects.
• Proven track record leading Basis teams (3–8 people) across project/AMS delivery.
• SAP certification in Technology, HANA Admin, or S/4HANA System Admin is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP operations in transformation contexts (subaccounts, Cloud Connector, identity services).
• Knowledge of SAP RISe/BTP shared responsibility model and data volume management.
• Exposure to SAP IDoc/ALE operations, archiving frameworks, and ITSM integration.
• Experience with tools SLO, SNP, SLT; scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell) for automation.
• Functional understanding of SAP FI/CO, MM/SD/EWM, PP/QM for cross-functional triage.

Responsibilities

• Lead Basis workstream delivery across S/4HANA Greenfield, Brownfield, BTP extension, and AMS engagements.
• Architect and govern SAP HANA on Azure or equivalent infra including tuning and backup design.
• Drive HA/DR implementation and validate failover readiness pre-go-live.
• Own transport and release governance with CTS+/ChaRM and CI/CD integration.
• Serve as primary Basis escalation point during hypercare and AMS steady state; lead RCA and PIRs.
• Lead and develop a team of Basis consultants across engagement models.
• Engage client stakeholders at technical lead/PM level; provide landscape status and risk flags; travel as needed.
