Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a capable Operations Support Specialist to manage non-design work orders, purchase requisitions, and work order reconciliations within a hybrid work model. The role focuses on accuracy in SAP-based processes and supports automation initiatives.

Ideal candidates will bring at least five years of relevant experience, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency with Excel and SAP. Bachelor's degree is preferred, with utility-industry experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum five years' experience in construction, design, maintenance, or operations
• Understanding of work order creation, purchase requisition creation, capital/O&M policy, operations functions
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools
• Ability to retrieve and manipulate data from reporting tools
• Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft products and SAP

Responsibilities

• Manage non-design work order creation and PRs
• Assist SAP users with work order release issues
• Support automation development and training
• Build partnerships with stakeholder groups to maximize productivity
