Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Senior SAP Engineer - ABAP Development to lead ABAP initiatives across SAP ERP and S/4HANA environments. Based in Cleveland, OH with alternate location in East Chicago, IN, you will guide technical strategy, design and delivery of complex SAP developments.

You will drive WRICEF development, interface design, and system enhancements, coordinating with business users and IT teams to ensure robust, scalable SAP solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in technical development roles.
• Experience in SAP S/4Hana 2021 or combined with older versions including ECC.
• SAP Development skills including ABAP Objects, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.
• Proficient in ABAP Workbench, ABAP Data Dictionary, and ABAP Debugger.
• Extensive experience in development and enhancement of WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
• Strong knowledge of SAP modules and integration points – FI/CO, SD, MM, QM, PP, and PP/DS.
• CDS views using ADT tools with BOPF, BRF+, and Restful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Understand the overall SAP direction on development practices.
• Ensure modules and integration points align with SAP road map.
• Understand Cleveland Cliffs SAP landscape and architecture for maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance, review transports, approve infrastructure changes and installations.
• Ensure sustainability of SAP processes across modules.
• Develop and move changes to production with WRICEF artifacts.
• Write and approve technical specifications for workflows, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
• Estimate development effort and coordinate with other developers and business users.
