Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant work experience.
Advanced degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
5–7+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
Understanding of EDI standards and data mapping.
Familiarity with SAP PI/PO functionality and architecture.
Ability to create technical specifications based on functional requirements.
Proven ability to problem-solve and work independently in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into technical solutions and explain complex technical concepts in simple business terms.
Design and develop technical solutions that align with established standards and business needs.
Perform root cause analysis on application issues and implement long-term fixes; document solutions to build the support knowledge base.
Evaluate current system capabilities, recommend necessary changes, and assess their business impact.
Collaborate with stakeholders to agree on technical solutions before implementation.
Ensure all technical documentation is accurate and updated as changes occur.
Test technical changes and support business system analysts with functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Monitor and optimize ABAP programs using tools like Runtime Analysis, Code Inspector, SQL Trace, and System Log.
Design overall system architecture and develop prototypes for major components.
Follow DON's defined methods, standards, and policies for system development and operations.
