Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP ABAP Manager to lead end-to-end ABAP delivery, guiding design, build, test and deployment across client projects. You will translate business needs into scalable ABAP solutions and collaborate with architects, leads, and stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes.

You will engage with external clients, drive workstreams, and balance risk, timelines, and delivery quality while navigating a hybrid EY model and travel up to 40-60% as needed.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree (4-year degree).
• Typically, no less than 4 - 6 years of hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP development and programming.
• Strong expertise in ABAP, including object‑oriented ABAP, modularization techniques, and debugging/troubleshooting.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and enhancing ABAP‑based solutions, including reports, interfaces, forms, enhancements, and OData/Web Services.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and ECC, including integration across SAP modules and familiarity with ABAP on HANA concepts.
• Proficiency in SAP Fiori/UI5 development and integration with ABAP back‑end services.
• Strong understanding of SAP Data Dictionary objects, database concepts, data modeling, and performance tuning/optimization.
• Experience working within Agile delivery models and exposure to DevOps practices in SAP environments.
• Familiarity with SAP technologies such as Solution Manager, PI/PO (or CPI), SAP LT, Data Services, and SAP Security.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce client‑ready documentation and support client‑facing discussions.
• Ability to research client inquiries and stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and leading practices.
• A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%.
