Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a Sales Tax Outsourcing Senior to join its State & Local Tax practice in the United States. You will work with clients and the sales tax team to resolve data issues, receive training on Avalara, and prepare and review sales tax returns across industries like manufacturing, distribution, retail and healthcare.

This senior role involves tax research, reviewing returns, identifying nexus discrepancies, and mentoring associates and interns to help them build

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2+ years' of relevant experience required.
• Experience in business consulting or services preferred.
• CPA eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with client and sales tax team to resolve identified data issues.
• Receive training on Avalara software.
• Utilize Avalara to prepare and review sales tax returns.
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including manufacturing, distribution, retail, and healthcare.
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed.
• Review and resolve sales tax returns.
• Identify Nexus issues and discrepancies where filing a return may be required.
• Develop and train team associates and interns to help them build inspired careers.
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results.
