Job summary

CLA is seeking a Sales Tax Outsourcing Senior to join our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice. You’ll collaborate with the sales tax team to resolve data issues and receive training on Avalara software.

You will utilize Avalara to prepare and review sales tax returns for clients across Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail and Healthcare, identify Nexus issues, and mentor junior staff while delivering accurate tax solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• CPA eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with client and sales tax team to resolve identified data issues.
• Receive training on Avalara software.
• Utilize Avalara to prepare and review sales tax returns.
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare.
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed.
• Review and resolve sales tax returns.
• Identify Nexus issues and discrepancies where filing a return may be required.
• Develop and train team associates and interns to help them build inspired careers.
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results.
