Job summary

CLA is seeking a Sales Tax Outsourcing Senior to join our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice in Minnesota. You will work with clients and the sales tax team to resolve data issues, review returns, and assist Nexus analysis.

Training on Avalara software is provided as you handle diverse industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail and healthcare. Required is a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and 2+ years of relevant experience; CPA eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years' of relevant experience.
• CPA eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with client and sales tax team to resolve identified data issues.
• Receive training on Avalara software.
• Utilize Avalara to prepare and review sales tax returns.
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare.
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed.
• Review and resolve sales tax returns.
• Identify Nexus issues and discrepancies where filing a return may be required.
• Develop and train team associates and interns to help them build inspired careers.
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results.
