Job summary

Halliburton seeks a Senior Tax Manager to lead state income tax compliance, ASC 740 reporting, audits, and planning initiatives. The role involves managing outsourced preparation, extending filings, and coordinating with tax authorities to ensure compliance and optimize results.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of state and local tax experience, strong ASC 740 knowledge, and excellent communication skills. CPA or MBA is preferred, with proficiency in OneSource, CCH, CheckPoint, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field.
• 10+ years of state and local income/franchise tax experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740 and multistate tax concepts.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review outsourced state & local income/franchise tax return preparation and related compliance activities.
• Support ASC 740 state tax provision and apportionment calculations, journal entries, reconciliations, and forecasting.
• Lead state and local tax audits and coordinate responses to tax authorities.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to SALT team members.
